Jesus: it respects the region's commitment and support to the commune of Saint-Josse with 12 slots

A few days after the expulsion of the convent du Gesù ordered and executed by the Mayor of Saint - Josse, I made the point in the Commission of the Parliament in Brussels on the temporary relocation of housing and accompanying the proposals identified by the region. These means of delivery of the commitments I made to come in support of the commune of Saint-Josse, responsible for the relocation of the occupants of the Gesù. On this occasion, he also recalled precisely this folder history and the sharing of responsibilities arising directly from the competence of the various actors.Since the month of September, I expressed to the commune of Saint-Josse my availability to participate in a solution that is coordinated between the different public actors, who possess a part of the solution. These different proposals aimed at preventing the eviction of occupants without a complete relocation solution has been found. If I continue to think that another expulsion pure and simple solutions were possible, allowing at least one rehousing progressive and largely cooperative, it seemed important - given the circumstances of emergency resulting from the decision taken by the Mayor within its exclusive competence - to concentrate our efforts on the evicted families. I do this to give my support to the municipality of Saint-Josse, who is unable to find accommodation for so many people in their territory of hardware.Today, tracks of rehousing and the commitments undertaken by the region in October 25 materialize. Specifically, the first families can be rehoused by the weekend. With the help of the housing, Home Accommodation Fund number and transit identified with the municipalities of Watermael-Boitsfort and Molenbeek, the region situated 12, or temporary solutions of rehousing of 40 to 50 people. These are temporary relocations, with an approximate duration of 4 to 6 months, during which intensive social support will be provided through partnerships, financed by the region, hoping to allow the implementation of a solution of inclusion and perennial relocation to the expiration of this period.I want to be clear about the possibilities of relocation. In fact, it is as I announced, valid temporary solutions in the medium term. It is not possible for the regional operators and social housing companies provide housing to the homes of the Gesù at the expense of many households regularly enrolled in the social housing waiting lists and waiting since sometimes many years public housing to which they are entitled. It should be recalled in this respect that the first problem is the majority of households, very insecure, Gesù that their administrative situation are not given access - under the European provisions and federal - social or assistance mechanisms of public housing, the assistance which forced them to unsafe solutions, while the region or the Brussels municipalities have solutions in this sentidoAparte of the occasional and exceptional solutions. All of these solutions rehousing have been communicated to the Mayor of Saint - Josse, who is responsible for coordinating the relocation of families evicted through the center of the crisis that has put in place. To read the response complete provided in Commission:Occupation of the Gesù at consultation
